APRES VELO is SPOKED (cycle speak for STOKED), to announce its’ sponsorship of  LOTTO LADIES CYCLING TEAM, (international UCI Road Team) http://www.lottoladiescycling.be/, with casual clothing and accessories from its APRES VELO range, for the 2010 racing season.

 Rochelle Gilmore is the most sought after rider in Australia with the highest profile and has been instrumental in lifting the team’s ranking in 2009 from outside the top 15, to number 5 in the world.  Rochelle is the team’s lead sprinter and Grace Verbeke is the teams climber and GC rider.

Whilst riding the Perimetre trail @ Terrey Hills last weekend, my friend Joel told me about his bike that "folds" in half and fits into a hard suitcase. He is planning a cycling trip in Europe on this bike. I am assuming there is another wheel tucked into the top half of the bag...he didn't mention Unicycling Europe? Pretty cool. eh?

When I travelled the world as a wee young lassie i used to just chuck my steel frame bike into a canvas bike bag and ne'er worry about it. It always arrived intact and unharmed and I can't ever remember anything going wrong with it, I don't even ever remember getting a puncture....? These days I get the best brown cardboard box money can't buy and dismember my bike, struggling for hours to get pedals, seat and handlebars off, tears of frustration & sweat flowing freely....
