Apres Velo – New Sponsor for 2009 www.apresvelo.com Posted on 27 November 2008

For the 2009 season I will be kitted out with some of the coolest casual off the bike clothing gear around. I am really pleased to have Apres Velo on board as my new Aussie clothing sponsor for the 2009 season and beyond. Apres Velo stock a fantastic casual range of alternative and slighlty off beat shirts and sweatshirts.

Finally a company has arrived that understand the need for cool/trendy off the saddle casual riding wear. You can still ‘live the riding dream’ without having to wear tight uncomfortable lycra for hours on end…

This gear is perfect for lounging round cafes pre or post riding/racing, while you’re sipping on your latte, or if you’re like me it’s a hot chocolate. It’s also well suited for general use at races, on the trails, at the bike stores, or just wondering around town or out amongst nature…

Apres Velo cater to practically every riding style under the sun; the roadie, mountain biker, the street hacker, commuter, even the single speeder will find something they like here. What makes Apres Velo even more unique is the fact that the clothes and accessories are designed and made by people who are totally passionate about bikes and the ‘biking culture’. Coming from a strong mountain biking and roadie background, they understand the needs of the biker mindset! They also do a very funky range of prints and caps, with more accessories/new clothing planned for 2009.

Check out their range and cool website at: www.apresvelo.com or have a look back here in the next few months on the gallery page, as I sample their stylish women’s range (yes, women’s cycle clothing that not only looks good, it fits properly as well!)…and another thing - they make a point of using beautiful fabrics that have been specially washed to give it that aged and comfy feeling.

Have a look for yourself.....

Apres Velo sponsors Genevieve Whitson

Wednesday, November 26, 2008
NEW APRES VELO SPONSORSHIP - Apres Velo would like to welcome Genevieve Whitson as our first sponsored pro rider. Genevieve is a New Zealand cyclist who has been racing mountain bikes in the UK and the rest of Europe since the age of 20, building up to the World MTB Championships in 2006. Genevieve has now decided its time for a change and her focus going forward will be on the tarmac with road racing.
However she will still dabble on the mountain bike from time to time ( loves the dirt too much)! This year Genevieve will join a road team in the States (Washington DC) for two months, racing as a guest rider, and then move on to the UK to focus on Europe. For more information on Genevieve’s profile and web page, look here. APRES VELO would like to wish Genevieve the best of luck during the '09 racing calendar and we all look forward to checking her out in her APRES VELO gear, that excellent new range of bike-related leisurewear everyone should own!
